Samsung is reportedly preparing the Galaxy A55. A number of leaks have been revealed, starting from its appearance to the latest benchmark results.

The Galaxy A55 will be supported by the Exynos S5E8845 chipset which is believed to be the Exynos 1480. Because the Exynos 1380 and 1280 carry the model numbers S5E8835 and S5E8825 attached to the Galaxy A54 and A53.

The chipset installed on the Galaxy A55 has been tested for performance using the Geekbench application. The results show an improvement from the Galaxy A54.

Quoted from GSMArena, in the single-core test, the Exynos S5E8845 achieved a score of 1,180. Meanwhile, in the multi-score test, it got 3,536.

When compared, the Galaxy A54 powered by the ExynosS5E8835 scored 1,108 on single-core. For the multi-core test, a score of 2,797 was obtained.

Referring to leaks circulating previously, it was stated that the Exynos 1480 is an octa-core chipset with four high-powered CPU cores, clocked at up to 2.75GHz and four other efficiency cores that work up to 2.05GHz.

What’s more interesting is that the chipset is said to use the Xclipse 530 GPU based on AMD RDNA2. It should be much more powerful than the Mali GPU on previous Exynos chips and could even potentially offer ray tracing in games.

However, this is still speculation at this time. We have to wait until the Galaxy A55 is officially launched by Samsung.

Unfortunately, until now we don’t know when the successor to the Galaxy A54 will be released on the market.

It was previously reported that the specifications and appearance of the Galaxy A55 appeared in cyberspace.

He revealed that the Galaxy A55 measures 161.1 x 77.3 / 77.9 x 8.2mm, making it slightly taller and wider than the A54. Therefore, the A55 screen will measure 6.5 inches, compared to the previous 6.4 inch screen.

The Samsung A55 still adopts Infinity-O which is home to the 32 MP front camera. The resolution also remains Full HD+ with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

8 MP RAM is embedded, while the internal memory has two options, namely 128 and 256 GB. Also provided is support for fast charging, which is still the same as its predecessor, namely 25W.

Samsung reportedly installed a 50MP rear main camera, 12MP ultra-wide and 32MP front camera, the same as the Galaxy A54.

According to reports circulating, this cellphone is expected to arrive in early 2024 along with the Galaxy A35 5G.
