Ahead of the global release, the Xiaomi boss showed off the HyperOS logo which will replace MIUI. At the same time, Lei Jun also showed off the Xiaomi electric car which will be launched in the near future.

In the X.com account (formerly Twitter) Lei Jun explained that the HyperOS logo is in the form of rotating galaxy dots. It’s like ideas and connections in the digital world.

“People and devices in the dot matrix flow freely and seamlessly connect in the HyperOS world, like stars in the real universe,” he said.

Lei Jun also revealed about the Human x Car x Home ecosystem. They will feature Xiaomi HyperMind, an AI-powered intelligence center designed to adapt and learn from users’ daily habits.

Apart from that, Xiaomi will make a breakthrough by presenting an electric car. This sedan type car is called XiaomiSU7, promised to provide a driving experience with advanced technology with the best performance in its class.

Xiaomi has a car?

The Xiaomi SU7 has a length of 4,997 mm, a width of 1,963 mm, and a height ranging from 1,440 mm to 1,455 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The SU7’s power source comes in two battery capacities, 73.6 kWh and 101 kWh, offering an impressive CLTC range of up to 800 km. This is an important metric for potential buyers, as EV range often influences purchasing decisions.

One aspect that is still mysterious is price. Lei Jun said that the price of the Xiaomi SU7 might be “a bit expensive”. Speculation ranges from 200-300 thousand yuan (p 400-600 million). To be sure, it will be announced at the launch event which will take place on December 28 2023.

“The upcoming Xiaomi EV will be the final step in completing our Human x Car x Home ecosystem. Wait for another surprise tomorrow!,” said Lei Jun in his tweet posted yesterday.
